Red River Zoo

On Friday the kids and I had to pick Josh up from Fargo - he is getting his truck fixed! So, we took some time and went to the Red River Zoo. Kind of small, but the kids had a lot of fun and saw some new animals!

Water Fun!

On Saturday, the weather was nice and Josh was home, so we hit the pool!

Cousins...

We spent the morning playing with the Ness cousins the other day and the kids had a great time... Had to snap a few shots of the grinners!

Ice Cream!!

We headed to Companero's for supper on Saturday night and then made a pitstop at the ice cream shop afterwards! Nothing says summer like a kid with an ice cream cone!!

Bella's first bites...

And we are on to food, food.... Bella tried sweet potatoes this weekend and did rather well with them! She has to practically be laying down to do it since she spits way too much out when she is sitting all the way up - way too nosy when she can see all that is going on!

Family Fun...

So, after Josh was gone for a week at training and then came home to go out with the boys on Saturday, we decided that it was time for some family time on Sunday... We started our day out with everyone sleeping in (yay!) and then headed out to pick some strawberries! The boys had a blast, Beau ate the whole time we were there... Then we were off to Black's Grove in Wadena, which is a picnic spot that my family grew up going to a lot. Although the mosquitoes tried to carry us away, we fought them off and had a great time!

Emma's Baptism...

The youngest of the crew, Emma Lou was baptized last night... Although I missed the main part - had to take Beau out in the middle of everything... I got a few pics of the goings on before and after! :)

4th of July 2009

As usual, we spent the 4th of July at my aunt Sharon and uncle Mike's. With only 9 kids, it was a little quieter then normal, but we had a lot of fun... Bean bag horseshoes, ladder golf, and lots of treats made for a fun day with family and friends! That night we went out to Mic and Molly's for some fireworks that someone who will remain nameless, had snuck across state lines... :)

Bella's first round with cereal...

I started Bella on cereal this week. She wasn't too happy about it at first, but starting liking it a little by the end. For now we aren't pushing it too much, but it's a start...

Haircuts...

So, I got it into my head that it would be fun for the boys to have a "new do" - and that turned into mohawks... (or as my friend calls them "beau-hawk" and "bro-hawk"). The boys love them, Brody wanted his hair cut "like the guy on the fishing show"... Who watches too much Deadliest Catch??? Mom loves them and smiles everytime she sees them, but Dad has a different opinion. When he came home from work Josh just shook his head, called them dorks and said that they look like hoodlums.... Oh well, it's just hair and will be back to normal in a month... :)
