Water Park

Monday was a day to play for the Connor family! Josh had a couple of appointments in the morning, so he ended up taking the day off from work since he found out that the kids didn't have school. He then talked me into taking the day off also and we trekked to the water park in Brainerd. Brody had a birthday party that he chose to go to instead, so we were one man down which made life a little less hectic (when we were stressing because we kept trying to count 4 kids the whole time! :) Braxton had a blast splashing in all the water and never wanted to be out of it. Bella kept running up and down the stairs for the slide, asking both Josh and I "again?" as soon as she got down and Beau actually tried going on his own. We had some tired kiddos for the ride home! :)

Braxton's first run on the slide!

Waiting for the big bucket to dump...

Braxton is 1!!

I can't believe how fast this year flew, but Braxton turned one last week and we had a party for him at the house. He missed the first half since he was napping, but that put him in a great mood for the cake and presents part of the party!!

Boss...

We have been doing a lot of home improvements around our house over the past couple of weeks and the kids are usually in the thick of things! Braxton really enjoyed watching Timmy and Grandpa put in our new window.

Spring!!

I can't believe the weather this year - it is so much fun for the kids - and the adults!! We have been playing outside almost every day and Braxton is loving crawling around with his brothers and sister. I am not loving fishing acorns, rocks and sand out of his mouth, but oh well - Bella survived it all, I'm sure he will too! :)

Dirt-n-worms

This was completely daddy's idea - and yes - I made him clean everyone and everything up! :) Cindy requested dirt-n-worms for her birthday dinner and Josh decided that Braxton should get in on the action... I tried to remind him that his birthday wasn't for another week but that didn't seem to matter...

Bounce Depot

Saturday we took off to have some fun with the kids and celebrate Cindy's birthday. We went to wrestling for Brody, did hair cuts and pictures for Braxton and then hit Bounce Depot with the kids. It was pretty reasonably priced and the kids had a blast! They didn't want to leave, even when they were so exhausted they couldn't really see straight. It made for a very quiet restaurant night too, so that was a bonus for the adults! :)

With the long flowing locks finally getting into his face so much we decided that it was time for Braxton to go in for his first haircut... We had a wrestling qualifing meet for Brody on Saturday (he got 3rd, but they decided that everyone qualified for regionals - wrestling, who knows??) and then we headed to St. Cloud for Braxton's 1 year pictures, a hair cut and some fun. He sat like a champ, didn't hardly move a muscle and came out looking even more handsome (if that is even possible! :) Never mind that sleepy, tongue hanging out look - he was much happier once he got to get down and run around! :)

The "before pictures"!

Like a statue for the hair cut!

The "after" pictures! He looks so different! :(

Teeth!

Braxton is sporting only 2 teeth so far, both that he got around Christmas time. With all the biting and whining he has been doing the past few days, I'm guessing a few more are getting close to making their appearances...

Chalk another one up...

Brody had another successful night at wrestling in Perham. He ended up with 2 pins and a win for a 1st place finish and another plaque. He had a great time and not too many tournaments left until the end of the season... (Notice the new singlets - pretty snazzy, huh??)

Red Neck Sledding...

The weather has been extraordinarily nice this winter and we have had a lot of melting on the side of our house. This has caused a nice patch of ice to build up along the driveway and the kids were inventive enough to put it to good use! :) Thank god - no broken bones and they had a blast!

King Kong!

The kids got a new train set for Christmas and they love it! I have finally learned to number all the parts so that I can put it back together after King Kong (aka Braxton) comes by and busts apart all the tracks... He loves to bang on the train set but it is definitely a pain in all of our booties! :)

Daddy Time!

Josh won the great daddy award the other night... Once again we had some sickos at our house and he volunteered to stay home with them so that I could hit the girls basketball game. As I was getting ready to leave he voluntarily told Bella that he would paint her nails - what?? She loved it and they had some good daddy/daughter time!

New Play Spot

Braxton has a new trick... While digging into the toy box he has a tendency to get a little off balance and slides right into our new toy box. I guess it works for him because he sat and played for a while in there and then just climbed back out - no problems for him! :)

Snow Day!!

We finally had our first good snow the other day and we were all super excited! We even got a snow day out of the deal and we got to spend some time outside playing and heading over to poop hill for some sledding. It was a great day!

Sebeka Wrestling Tourney

Sebeka had their own tournament a few weeks ago and the turn out wasn't so hot. This meant that Brody got bumped up a grade and ended up wrestling 2nd graders in his weight. During tournamnets they are grouped into 1st and 2nd grade so it was a good practice for that! He lost his first match but won his second so ended up with a 2nd place finish.

Birthday Girl!

Bella's birthday was an interesting on this year! We had planned her party with two of her cousins and she ended up being sick on that day. So, we had our own little birthday gift opening at home and celebrated with cupcakes on her actual birthday! In true Bella fashion she is trying hard to keep up with her older brothers and she wanted a DS for her birthday... Between that and her pink purse she got I don't think that she could have been happier! :)
