Fall fun!

It is that time of year - it is starting to turn cooler, the leaves are turning colors and they are falling off the trees! Grandpa Polman gave us the leaf bagger that hooks to the back of the mower that he gave us last year and Josh was out yesterday picking up some of the leaves... As you can tell most of them are getting redistributed by the boys, but they had a great time!

Josh's new toy...

So, Josh and I decided last year that it would be cheaper to heat our house with wood rather then electric... So, we had some wood delivered - we cut it and that was that. Well, this year Josh decided that he found a steal of a deal and had a semi-truckload of wood delivered to our house... In the long run it will be cheaper and he got to buy a new toy - his chainsaw!! So, hopefully this wood will last us a couple of years and Josh will have all his fun cutting up the wood!

Big boy!

Brody made the leap last night! He has been potty trained for a while now, even taking naps in his underwear with no problems. Well, he has gone a week with dry diapers at night, so we thought we would make the leap to underwear at night! The first night was a success... I am not expecting miracles though and do have extra sheets set out for that middle of the night changing sessions!

Mommy's big helpers...

Brody's new favorite chore to help with is the vacuuming... He loves to get out the littler vacuum that I have and plug it in by himself (yikes) and start helping. So, today he had Beau helping him vacuum. Sometimes he can be so nice to his little brother! :)

St. Ann's Carnival

Ronnie works at a catholic school in Wadena and one of the fun things (a.k.a fundraiser) that they have is a carnival one Sunday in September. We took the boys again this year and they had a ton of fun playing games, winning prizes and getting their faces painted. Brody even won the cakewalk!

The boys...

It doesn't happen often, but every once in a while we can get the two of them to sit still TOGETHER for a picture...

Firemen's Rodeo

We headed out to the Wadena Firement's Rodeo last weekend. The Sebeka fire department was represented by the "Kiser" clan... Reg, Quentin, Chris and Dean Haman were the team with Chief Carl standing by... They had to do a series of events - bucket brigade, full dress relay, obstacle course... The winner of each event got money for their fire department and the winner of the whole thing got a lot of cash! It was fun to go and "watch them in action!"

Progressive Supper!

So, after a long time of planning and trying to get everyone together on the same night, we actually had an adult night with all of the siblings and cousins and their spouses! We had a progressive supper, which is rotating to a different house for each course of a meal. It was a lot of fun and we had fun eating, drinking and socializing!

1st Day of Preschool...

Brody had his official first day of preschool today. I made it through without any tears (I know, a miracle for me...) He wanted to ride the bus with his cousins Tyce and Tori, so I followed him to school to be able to take him to his first day of class. He had a lot of fun and wasn't naughty at all, from what he tells me....

Beau "taking off"

OBJECT class=BLOG_video_class id=BLOG_video-9efaa3620c1aa658 height=266 width=320 contentId="9efaa3620c1aa658">
Beau has finally started walking! We didn't think that the day would ever come, he is a little stubborn.... He goes like mad now and is doing really well! It's so amazing to watch him finally getting around on 2 feet. At the end of the one video, you get to see a little of his fiestiness when he can't get quite where he wants to go or do what he wants to do...<<

Brody's New Trick

Who knows how he came to learn how to do a cartwheel... God knows that his mother has never been able to do one... He is getting better all the time, here is just one sample of him doing it!

Water Park...

We decided to go for one last big hurrah for the summer, before everyone went back to work and school. We went with Reg and Laura and their boys to the water park in Brainerd. (Did a little school clothes shopping for Brody on the way, man he is growing out of everything!) We all had a blast at the water park and were very tired when we got home!
