Track and Field Day 2014

Nice and warm day for track and field day today... took Braxton and Bella over and watched the older cousins this morning and then headed over this afternoon to watch Brody, Beau and the younger cousins. It was a lot of fun watching everyone compete and try their best.

Beau's Birthday/Memorial Day

We had our annual party at Ron and Chris' for Memorial Day... It was the first year in a long time that we had a warm day and we were all loving it. With the weather the way that it has been it seemed like we went from winter to summer in less then 24 hours... Love it! Beau had a great birthday party which he shared with his cousins Zoe and Kolby this year! We love family time!

Family Fun!

Saturday was such a beautiful day that I decided we couldn't spend it indoors... So, we loaded up the bikes and headed to Heartland Trail and biked from Park Rapids to Dorset, ate lunch and biked back - of course stopping to geocache along the way. It was a fun trip with only minimal whining (mostly on Beau's part) and we can't wait to go again. Bella was our rock star... 5 years old and not a complaint in sight - even after 12 and 1/2 miles!!!

Planting time!!

The weather has finally gotten nice enough that we were able to plant our gardens, flower and veggies, over this past weekend!! I was pretty dang excited... especially when Josh was actually home on Friday to be able to help till up the garden and go with to buy all our goodies! Braxton, as always, was right in the middle of everything and wanted to do exactly what daddy was doing!

Brody's class did their class play today and they did a great job! Brody had the part of Paul and did a fantastic job learning all his lines by heart... Can't wait to see how he does this summer in the summer acting camps that he is going to be a part of!

Cub Scout Awards Ceremony

Brody and Beau finished the year out for Cub Scouts and had their awards ceremony tonight. They had a lot of fun and learned a lot this year...

The kids were outside innocently playing when they decided that the water in our ditch at the edge of the yard was the best place to play... They looked like they were having a blast so we let them have at it. Here is the aftermath - my washing machine was not thanking me!!

Grandpa's 90th!

We had a family party for Grandpa this weekend to celebrate his 90th birthday. The whole family made it except for Rusty, who is all the way in St. Louis and my cousin Kyle who is in Korea right now. I guess we'll give them a pass! :) It's always fun to get the family together and even more fun when we are there to celebrate such a huge milestone...
