Since I ended up being sick with the flu yesterday, we didn't quite make it to my mom and dad's house for supper on Christmas Eve. The boys went to church and when they got home we had supper and celebrated our own family Christmas. The boys got their bunk beds early, but had a lot of fun with the guns and bow and arrow that they got this year. We have had none of those at our house and they are a favorite at the cousins house's when we go!! So, I knew that this would be a great gift... I am not sure who had more fun with them, Josh or the boys??? :) Bella is having lots of fun on her first Christmas, with the wrapping paper!

School Christmas Program
Brody had his school Christmas program on Tuesday night. It was super cute... He knew all his songs and sang them around the house all the time! Afterwards they got to decorate a cookie and see Santa.

Brody's Christmas Outfit
Brody has his Christmas program at school tonight and I finally got the white shirt in the mail that I had ordered to go with this outfit we got from his cousin Mason. So, we tried it on and he was so excited to have a "bow-tie" to wear. The first words out of his mouth were "I look like the principal mommy!"
Church Christmas Program
Brody had his Christmas program on Sunday afternoon. He has been working hard on his part "I is for Innkeeper" and did a great job with it. He had a few meltdowns during practice in the morning so I wasn't sure how it was going to go, but he did a great job. Sometimes it is hard to have mom right there but not have all of her attention!

Christmas cookies...
Yesterday all the kids were healthy, for a few hours, so my daycare kids were back for the day. Fridays are not a school day for preschool, so Brody and Elyse were both at my house for the afternoon. They were great in the morning, so they didn't have to take naps in the afternoon so we decided to decorate Christmas cookies. It was an interesting adventure with 4 year olds but they were so excited about doing it. Now we'll see if anyone eats these sugary concoctions and if they go into sugar shock or not...

First Christmas of this year...
While Stacy was here this weekend, we busted out some of the presents and had an early Christmas. The boys were VERY excited!! We had a great weekend just spending time with Stacy...
Water Park with Grandpa Stacy
Josh's dad flew in and stayed with us for a long weekend. The weather wasn't too bad, but of course we got snow right before he flew in! :) We decided to head to the water park on Saturday and the kids had a blast... We definitely wore them out that day!

Holiday fun...
So, this weekend was a busy one for the Connor family! Saturday began with a trip to see Santa... Beau was a little nervous, Bella took a look and started crying and Brody wouldn't even go near him - yikes! :) Then we headed out to pick up our tree, dropped that off and started off for the last of our Christmas shopping in St. Cloud. Today we got our tree up and decorated! Now mom just has to get the presents wrapped and we will be ready for Christmas! YIPPEE!!

Finally....
New Addition...
So, Josh has been begging :) for a puppy for a while now... he wants a "hunting" dog and has been looking for a beagle - I finally gave in and now we are blessed with Ruby. We went and picked her up last night and I am not sure how "high-energy" she is, which is what they kept saying about beagles... She seems to really like the couch!! I told Josh he might have to hunt something really slow, like cows! :)

The joys of not feeling well...
Bella hasn't been feeling so hot since Thanksgiving - I took her in on Monday and she ended up being diagnosed with lower lobe pneumonia! Glad I took her in even though her fever broke. She has still been pretty good for being so sick, but she is a little tired a lot of the day... Wouldn't it be nice to be able to sleep anywhere?? :)
Thanksgiving..
For Thanksgiving we were all able to spend the day together at my cousin Ruth's house. It was a lot of fun and the kids played like nothing else - I don't think that I saw the boys all day and Bella was being lugged around by her second (third?)cousins the whole time. It was really cute to see them playing with the other kids that they don't get to see that often!

Ooey-Gooey Night...
Okay, who goes to a night like this? Only crazy people!! Our preschool teachers teamed up with the ECFE to present Ooey-Gooey night for the kids. We had tacos for supper and then the kids got to roam the gym and play with all the messy things that they had set out... They made volcanoes, painted just about everything, WITH just about everything, playdough, shaving cream projects, you name it! The kids had a blast, as you could tell from their clothes when we got home... It was a great night out for the family and I am glad that I didn't have to clean up!!

Bowling...
Our local bowling alley was having their re-grand opening, so we left Bella once again with mom and took the boys bowling. They had a blast and didn't want to leave even after a few games. Guess we will have to take them there a little more often! :)

Cars...
Looking for things to entertain the kids while they are trapped in our house is always a fun event... I found these great car projects while looking through a magazine and enlisted Josh's help to create them. They had a wonderful time making them, although Beau's lasted all of 2 minutes and Brody's didn't last much longer. Oh well, it is the thought that counts right?? :)

Make up work...
Since Brody has been out of school for the whole week, I called his teacher to see what letter they have been working. She was nice enough to send us his work that he had been missing for the letter a. This included painting construction paper apples with an actual apple. SO MUCH FUN!! (insert sarcasm here...) The boys did have a lot of fun and I had paint from one end of the kitchen to the other, mostly thanks to Beau joining in the fun too.
