Brody's new trick...

So, Josh sat down with Brody last Saturday while I was cleaning and worked with him on how to tie his shoes. He picked it up so quick, I still can't believe it!! I thought, "oh as long as he can do it by the time he starts kindergarten we are good" - I guess that he showed me! He doesn't get it quite right every time, but does a pretty darn good job...

Science Experiment

Josh was home on Friday afternoon and I got him to do a science experiment that we had found in one of the kid's magazines that they get. "Dancing" raisins were a hit! The waiting for it to happen part of it was not a hit, but they kept coming back to check them out, especially Brody!

Fort fun!

Last Monday was a day off for all of us and the boys decided to make good use of their time and build a fort. I have to say that their forts are getting bigger and better everytime that they build one!

Bella's 1st Birthday!

Valentine's night we spent time celebrating with friends and family the birth of Bella... I can't believe that she is 1 already!! Of course we had to go with the heart theme and had a red velvet cake... She wasn't feeling super great and we had a few tears throughout the evening, but she also had fun playing with her new baby and pony!

Party, Party, Party

This weekend was chock full of parties... Rusty and his girlfriend were both able to fly in for the weekend, so we had a lot of get togethers, along with a lot of birthdaying... Saturday we celebrated Parker's 2nd birthday and then transitioned into a "Hawaii" party! The kids had a lot of fun dressing in their shorts, tank tops and flip-flops in the middle of winter!

Winter fun...

My sister usually picks up all of the kids as soon as they get off the bus. She ended up running a little late the other day and Tyce and Eion decided to stay outside and play. I check on them out the window and "boys will be boys"... They had pulled the lawn chair over and were climbing ON TOP of our snowman! Of course everyone has now had to follow suit - our little daredevils!

Brody's Valentine's Day Box

Brody had his Valentine's Day party last Thursday and they needed to make a box to put their Valentine's in... So, I searched the internet and came up with this "alien" box - I think we both had a great time making it!!

Getting the kids ready to go outside during daycare is a chore and a half... Luckily the babies are patient with me and hang out while I am zipping jackets, putting on boots and snowpants and locating hats and mittens. I just had to snap a couple of pictures of them hanging out!

Squid Dogs!

In one of the magazines that I get they had a fun recipe for "Squid Dogs" and I just had to try it out for daycare... Chunks of hot dogs speared with spaghetti makes for a fun meal anytime!!

Uno Moo!

The boys got a new game for Christmas called Uno Moo! Beau just loves it! While Brody was at school on Monday and Bella was sleeping, Beau and I played a few games... I had to take a picture of how adorable he is when he "closes his eyes" to draw from the barn! He is definitely our little ham...
