My poor baby...

I asked for it and I got it... Bella has the chicken pox right now and she is MISERABLE!! The last two nights have been pretty sleepless for both of us and she is covered in spots. My poor baby definitely has it worse then her brother, especially on her face! Good thing that she will never remember it all...

Brody's T-Ball Game

Brody had his second t-ball game this past week and he was so excited! He got to play outfield for 2 innings and pitcher for 1 inning. He did really well and hit the ball each time that he was up! We will see how he does next week - they are starting to hit from the pitcher! :)

Red Eye River Days

We had out town celebration last weekend and boy did we celebrate! The kids ran in the kiddie races in the morning, ate hot dogs at the boy scout stand, had some free ice cream for dessert, went to the mud run with Josh, hit the bounce houses in the afternoon, participated in the kiddie parade and then ended with watching the regular parade that night. It was a crazy busy Saturday, but we loved every minute of it!

After the storm

We had quite the storm yesterday. Mostly a lot of rain here, but the town 14 miles south of us had a tornado rip through it and destroy a lot of the town... The rain here lasted for about a half an hour, if that and after that the sun was shining and the sky was blue. All that was left was water, a lot of water in our front yard!! So what better to do then go and jump in the "puddles"!

Dentist Trip!

The boys and I all had dentist appointments yesterday (1st time for Beau!), so of course I had to show some pictures! They had us all scheduled at the same time, which made the boys nervous at first, but once they both got settled in they did great! I got a few pictures of Beau before I had to go in for my own appointment and then handed the camera over to Tami, a friend of ours that works there... That would explain the wonderful picture of me! :)

1st T-Ball Game

Brody had his first T-Ball game yesterday and he did a great job! He played outfield for 2 innings and pitcher for an inning. When he was at pitcher, pretty much every ball came to him, so it was fun to watch him in action. He also hit the ball on the first try every time - even the first time when he batted right instead of his usual left. He had a great time and that is what really matters!
Playing outfield - look at that stance! :)

Playing pitcher

Playdough Fun...

Summertime means a break for mom from daycare, but also means no cousins to play with every day, all day. That means a little bit more work for mom to keep the kids entertained and not fighting... Tuesday was a rainy day where we were stuck in the house, so I busted out the playdough recipe and we made some playdough. This was the first time that I let Bella sink her hands into it and she loved it!! Only a few attempts to eat it, but I think that I saved most of it from her... :)

Ending the trip with a bang!

So, we knew that the kids had been exposed to the chicken pox and we were very excited about this, but not with the timing... We made it until Thursday night and then spotted the spots (about 5 at that time) on Beau's back. By morning they were covering his back and front. By today, when we were supposed to be hopping on the plane, they were climbing his neck... Luckily we made it on the plane without a word and it is good to be at home to take care of him. He has done well so far, but is getting pretty miserable - 1 down, hopefully 2 to go!
The beginning of it all... (Thursday night)

Saturday night

D-Backs Game...

On the day that we were supposed to head to the lake, Josh's dad ended up being down and out with the flu... So, instead of taking care of him - we ditched out as soon as we could and went to the Diamondbacks game... (Hey, we didn't want the kids getting it! :)

Fun with the Connor's

We spent a few days at Josh's dad and stepmom's house, as well as heading up north to see his Grandma and Great Grandma for a little bit. It was great to see cousins, sisters and brothers and spend time with family!

Fun with friends...

We spent some time this week jumping from friends to friends trying to see everyone that we had time to see. Although I am not always good at grabbing the camera instead of gabbing it up, I did manage to sneak in a few photos...

ER Trip...

So, our water day ended abruptly when Josh fell and sprained his ankle! We sent the kids off with Jake and Danielle and headed to the ER. Of course I had to harrass him endlessly, especially when they sent us out the door with 4 ace bandages and nothing else. His ankle turned all sorts of pretty colors and swelled up quite nicely as the week went on, but he was a trooper about it all and it didn't slow us down, too much! Maybe tag is a little too strenuous for an almost 30 year old! :)

Water day...

We spent Sunday with Josh's mom and stepdad, brother and sister-in-law and our nephew. We started with a 5:45 wake up time, yikes! and moved on to pictures with the 4 little ones. Then we went for lunch and ended the time with a trip to a mall that had jets that shot water up into the air. The kids had a great time getting wet and playing hard!

Arizona...

We headed out to Arizona to go and visit Josh's family and our friends. There was a lot to do and we spent our vacation relaxing by the pool a lot (since it was at least 105 every day that we were there) and visiting everyone! It was a great time...

How in the world?

How does one sleep like this? Talk about "putting your feet up"! :)

Little Miss Independent

Bella has become Little Miss Independent in everything that she does! She HAD TO HAVE a fork at supper the other night... As you can tell she stabbed a few things, but missed quite a bit more! :)

Beau's 3rd Birthday!

We had a Memorial Day gathering at Ron and Chris' yesterday and since Beau's birthday actually fell on Memorial Day, we doubled up and partied a little harder. The weather was wonderful, evn though they predicted rain and everyone had a great time! Especially Beau, who walked around telling everyone Happy Birthday whenever they told him Happy Birthday!

Boys will be boys...

A picture says a thousand words and I will say no more... But, if you know this group of our friends, you know what was going on! :)

Trying to save poor Zoe - I think it is a lost cause!
