We all scream for ICE CREAM!!

I had to add these pictures... They are from when we went to Itasca with Josh's mom and stopped for ice cream at the end! Brody is such a pro now that we don't get the "fun" shots of him eating ice cream anymore, but Beau and Bella didn't disappoint! Beau is definitely our pokey eater - actually pokey at everything!! But, ice cream and him do not go well together if you don't want a mess on your hands! :) And this was the first time that we actually gave Bella her own ice cream cone - can you tell she loved it! :)

Yunker's Farm

Since we were taking Cindy back to Fargo to fly home, I thought that we would have her join us on one more adventure before she left! We took the kids to Yunker's Farm where the boys and I went last year and they had a blast once again!! There is so much to do and see there that we spent the whole afternoon wandering from room to room!

Butterfly Adventures...

So, at the beginning of the summer I ordered a butterfly kit for the kids to explore while we were on our own. I finally got around to ordering the actual caterpillars a few weeks ago and we got to watch the stages that they went through! They had so much fun with it and actually learned something along the way...

Itasca State Park with Grandma Cindy

Josh's mom has been up visiting for the week and we have gorgeous weather for all of us to enjoy. Josh took a couple of days off to finish off some woodstove stuff, so we headed up to Itasca on one of the days for some fun... The kids had a blast climbing the rocks at the headwaters, where the Mississippi begins, and Grandma really enjoyed the cooler temps of MN!

Big Girl Bed!

We have made the transition!! And believe it or not, it actually went rather smoothly! Since we already have a bed in Bella's room, we decided to try putting her into it before the school year starts! She has done awesome!! She sleeps in it at nap and at nighttime and has not gotten up once... She cries a little bit when I first lay her down, but by the time I get upstairs, not a peep! Hopefully it continues to go as well!

Day 2 of cities fun!

On Saturday night we headed back the hotel for some pool time and bedtime! My kids have turned into little fish this summer, it is so fun to see! Brody is the only one that has gone through the first level of swimming lessons and he pretty much goes everywhere on his own! Beau has started being more adventurous and tries to swim to us from the side all the time and jumps in off the side by himself! I bought Bella some floaties and I tell you - she screams if you even try to touch her while she is swimming! It is so fun to watch them grow and try things on their own... Sunday we hit Como Zoo, the animals and the rides. It was super hot, so we didn't last all day, but ice cream at the end was a big treat for everyone - including mom and dad!!

Family Weekend!

We took last weekend and went to the cities for a little bit of family fun time! Saturday morning we got up and hopped on the road to the Science Museum. The kids loved the dinosaur exhibit - I couldn't get Bella out of the tube that represented the belly of a dinosaur!! Everytime I turned around she was inside that thing! Then we headed over to the Mall of America to catch the Underwater Adventures exhibit. The boys loved how the fish swam right over the top of you and Bella was amazed by the jellyfish... It was a great first day!

Goldilocks!

Josh took a few pictures the other day of Bella and how long her hair is getting! I think that he might be more obsessed then I am over it and even insisted that we buy her a brush this weekend while we were shopping! :)

Bike Park

Brody has been begging to go to the bike park in Wadena again for the longest time... So, I called the gang and we all headed to the bike park for some fun and picnic. Let me tell you, it was way easier when Josh was with us last time - me and pushing Beau around that track do not go well together! :)

Corn on the Cob - Bella style...

Josh usually cuts Bella's corn off of the cob for her, but since we had corn on the cob 3 TIMES last week, we let her have a go at it! She was hilarious and wouldn't eat anything but the corn... Guess she likes it! :)

Movie Night!

We had a movie night the other night and the kids were so excited... Josh and I had bought them some fun popcorn tubs and we put on their jammies right after supper and popped up some popcorn! They had a great time and love watching movies, over and over and over again!
