Last birthday hurrah!

I swear, Bella has had more birthday celebrations this year then any of my kids combined! :) We finally had our rescheduled party today and the kids had a blast!!

Bella and Great Grandpa Claire (her namesake!)

A shot of the "partial" group...

traffic jam!

Found this idea on pinterest or in one of my parent magazines and finally got it set up at our house... The kids are loving it and it gives them something different to play with! Best $5 I ever spent!

Arizona

I found some cheap plane tickets online about a month ago and we decided that we needed to take a quick vacation to visit our Arizona family... We got to stay with Grandpa Jerry for a couple of nights, where the kids did a lot of hiking, golf cart driving, a night out at Organ Stop pizza and just hanging out with Grandpa. It was a lot of fun... Then we moved on to Grandpa Stacy and Grandma Cheryl's new house. Since they just moved a few months ago, we were all very excited to see their new place. Horse property in Gilbert means orange, lemon, grapefruit and pecan trees and CHICKENS to the Connor family... The kids had a blast chasing, holding and feeding the chickens and we were all able to enjoy picking and shelling pecans, picking and juicing lemons for lemonade and eating fruit right off the trees... We spent a lot of time just hanging out and playing, got in some more hiking and a lot of great eating!

With weather in the 70's the entire time that we were there, we were some happy tourists, wearing our shorts and tshirts the entire time we were there! What a great relaxing vacation!

I got my boots, on....

I think someone else likes Bella's boots almost as much as she does... Guess we will have to get a more appropriate color for him for his birthday! :)

Glasses!

So, we were forewarned last summer that this day might be coming... We thought that we could put it off for a while longer, but obviously Beau's eyes has a different plan for us! :) His teacher mentioned that he has been squinting in class so we brought him in for a vision recheck and sure enough, he was ready for glasses. We ordered them from Walmart and surprisingly they were ready in 3 days, making Beau one excited boy that got to bring his glasses to Arizona with us... He has been doing well with them so far - we only lost the nose piece on the 2nd day, but got it fixed and now things are going well! :) Oh the joys of having parents with bad eyesight! The only question left to ask is when the other 3 will need them too!

(Doesn't he look handsome though?? :)

Snow Fun!

We got a snowstorm that dropped a lot of snow on us a couple weeks back and it was a blast!! Even though it caused a lot of work for everyone we also had a lot of fun thrown in there. The kids loved playing in the snow and even though part of the day was spent cleaning up, we also enjoyed the snow day that came with over a foot of snow!

Bella and Parker's mini birthday party!

Once again we planned a birthday bash for the cousins that have birthdays in February... This also turned out to be the day that Mother Nature blessed us with 16" of snow!! So, birthday celebrations were put on hold for the big event but us Kiser's can't be held back! We had a lot of food and a cake to eat and a little girl and boy that wanted to open at least a couple of presents! :) So, we partied it up with the few of us that could make it over to my mom's!

feel the love!

We are slowly working towards Braxton becoming a BIG BOY... Mommy is very sad about this, but I know that it has to happen! :) We have successfully made it through one week of him sleeping in his bed for naps and night time. Bottles - gone, crib - gone, pacifiers are next!! He has been really good about staying in his bed the past couple of nights but the other night I went down to check on him before I went to bed and found this adorable sight!!

church!

Just another normal evening of playing "church" at our house... Beau preaching and saying prayers, Bella singing the praise songs. This is normal right? :)

sharing the love

Braxton is a little obsessed with his pacifiers right now and works hard to get his hands on them whenever he can, usually when Grandma Cindy is babysitting - such a softie! :) So, I came home to this picture the other night. He had pushed the chair over to the counter below the cupboard that I keep them in, climbed up onto the counter, opened the cupboard and got all of them out. He then proceeded to hand them out to all his siblings... Such a good sharer! Guess who's going to be one sad boy when we get back from AZ and mommy starts cutting tips of pacifiers! :( I will not be sorry to see them go! :)
