Elementary Christmas Program

Today is the elementary Christmas program at school. My babies are growing up so fast!! They look awesome, hopefully it will last through lunch and recess! :)

Christmas Tree!

We made out annual trek out to chop down our Christmas tree last Sunday and the kids got to "help" chop it down. They loved it!! Then we came home and decorated it... We have so many new ornaments that they kids have received and made that we have to start being choosy about what goes on the tree! I can't imagine what it will look like 10 years from now! :)

Santa!

The kids got to sit on Santa's lap last Saturday and tell him all their wishes and desires! :) I love seeing our Santa return every year and watching the kids grow each year that they sit on his lap... He even made Brody smile and chuckle!

Gingerbread Houses

I am in charge of Brody's Cub Scout pack this year and since it is December I thought that we needed to do something a little festive. This meant breaking out the gingerbread (or graham cracker) houses... I have never made them before but the boys had a blast doing their own thing and using A LOT of candy and frosting while accomplishing their task! My nephews Gavin and Eion are also in his group so I snapped a picture of their creation as well!

Wii Dance Party!

The kids decided that our Friday game night should be a dance party using the wii... Since I was tired I told them to have at it and sat back to watch the show! They are so adorable sometimes! :)

Americanism Program

The kids all had a role to play in the Americanism Program that the school held on November 11 this year. The cub scouts and girl scouts help to present the flag, so they all had to wear their uniforms that day, Bella's kindergarten class led the pledge of allegiance and Brody's class sang a song with a slide show. It is always a moving program and I was glad that I got to go watch my kids be a part of it!

Happy Halloween!

As usual our gang met at my mom's for a quick group picture of most of the cousins before everyone headed out. Brody got to go out on his own this year and made the rounds with his cousins on foot. The rest of the crew came with us as usual and we got to have Jake, Danielle and Landon join us. It was fun to watch them all run around together, Josh had someone to sit in the car with and I had someone to walk with when the kids got in and out of the car... it was a win for everyone!

Pumpkin Carving!

The kids all did their own ideas for their pumpkins this year... They turned out very interesting but they all had a great time carving them and eating the seeds that we roasted from them!

Out takes!

since it was so beautiful this weekend we went out and took some family pictures for our Christmas card this year. We had a bunch that turned out awesome and we had a few not so awesome... Here are a few of the out takes from that day - Josh saw this downed tree and immediately said that we had to take an "awkward" family photo. Of course the kids jumped right in, having no clue! :)

Fire Department Field Trip

It was time for our annual trip to the Sebeka Fire Department, courtesy of ECFE and preschool. The kids absolutely LOVE this field trip and Brody and Beau still refuse to stay home... They want to go too! Braxton is in love with big trucks of all kinds, so he was in his glory getting to hop in and out of the fire trucks!
