Someone's in the kitchen with Raina...

Josh was trying to go for a jog the other day and unfortunately Braxton just isn't speedy enough to keep up, even with his bike. So, Josh sent him in the house to "help" mom cook supper. He actually did a great job mixing up the topping for supper! :) He is so inquisitive and always wants to be up on the counter while I am cooking, checking everything out.

Science Experiments!

This week Braxton and I have been on our own in the mornings since my daycare baby is with his grandparents for the week. I busted out the baking soda and colored up some vinegar for a fun science experiment that kept him busy for a long time!! He loved it and we both had fun playing for a while...

Bowling for Braxton!

Since Braxton's birthday was actually on a weekend he got to pick an event for our family to go and do. He was very excited to go bowling!! We invited all the cousins to go with us and the Kiser's didn't have any plans so they were able to join us. We all had a great time...

Whistle Stop B & B

I got Josh a night at a bed and breakfast for his Christmas present, so this weekend was the first weekend that we were able to get away and have some time to ourselves!! We tried a new b & b in New York Mills and we loved it... They have train cars that are turned into rooms and I thought ours was so cute! We left and had supper out, bowled without kids and just spent some quality time together... It was great!!

Beau's Field Trip

I was lucky enough to be able to go on Beau's field trip with him this past Friday. In first grade it is a day long event where we get to go to the Sheriff's Department, Wadena Dental, Pizza Ranch, Ben Franklin, Walmart and Tri County Hospital. The kids were awesome and they all had a great time. Love being able to do these trips with my kids!

End of the line...

We had wrestling qualifiers this past weekend in Pelican Rapids and although the boys had a rough finish to the season (both placed 4th) they had fun wrestling this year and that is what matters most to us at this point in their lives!! It got a little hairy for mom and dad during this tournament though because not only once but TWICE did they end up wrestling AT THE EXACT SAME TIME!! Super annoying when you are trying to coach them and cheer them on... Oh well, I got some fun shots of both of them out on the mat at the same time since they were at the tables right next to each other - Thank God for that!!

Buddies...

So the last couple of weeks have been rough on our house. Long story short, Ruby ended up with a ruptured disc in her neck and was in a lot of pain. She spent a long weekend at the vet being kept as still as possible and then was sent home to continue with the "as still as possible" therapy. That lasted about a week and now she is back to running around on her own, jumping up on the furniture and beds and hopefully not making her disc rupture again. You could tell by her demeanor that she was missing the kids a lot while she was being locked in the bathroom and obviously the kids were missing her as well... I found Braxton laying down with her in the bathroom one morning - he loves her so much!!

Winter Fun

This past weekend we had some BEAUTIFUL weather!! It was so nice that we had to take as much advantage of it as possible... and with this week being in the 30's and 40's all week, we knew that our snow wouldn't last very long so we definitely had to take advantage of that!! Our friends had their annual rink party this week end, so the kids spent a lot of time on the ice on Saturday and then we headed out for some sledding on Sunday. It was a great time and it was nice to be outside finally!

Perham Wrestling

Wrestling season is close to coming to an end and we hit one more tournament before next weekend when we have qualifiers. We ended up taking our nephew Parker with us too... He tied for 1st place, while Beau got 4th and Brody got 3rd.
