Brainerd Zoo Trip

Since Josh's brother and his family moved here this past month I have been itching to take them on a trip to somewhere to see what there is to do around us... Well, since they just opened the zoo in Brainerd I thought that it would be fun for all of us to check it out for the first time together. So, we hit up mexican for lunch and headed to the zoo. It was super fun and there was lots to do. The kids LOVED the parakeet landing, where you could buy a stick with birdseed stuck to it and when you held it out the birds would land on the stick (and you!) and eat the bird seed. Bella and Brody were freaking out but were also so excited that they didn't want to leave... It was a great day and tons of fun!

Beach Time

Since our pool closes a little early in August due to the lifeguards all having to go back to school, we decided it was time to hit the beach the other day when it was warm. We don't go often (not my favorite way to swim) but when we do the kids have a blast... All the sand is so much fun for them that they don't spend a lot of time in the water though! :)
