Basketball

Brody is in his third year of basketball and although they are having a rough season, it is fun to see them working hard together and developing their skills as they go. With only 5 players on the team they get a lot of playing time so they improve a little every game!

Creating!

And of course after the Christmasing happens, the next step is creating all of the things that they got. Josh and Beau spent a good chunk of their morning putting together this lego set... With only a minimum amount of arguing! :)

Christmas with Mom

We got to have a lot of Christmases this year and the kids had a blast at every one! The "older" kids got to join in the bunco fun that the adults play every year and they thought that was a great fun! It's always a great time getting the family all together.

New Year's Eve

This year we decided to stay in with the kids for New Year's Eve instead of heading out for the night. They got to play out in the snow with dad and take turns making an appetizer for our supper. They did a great job, the food was delicious and then we hung out and watched movies for the night. It was a lot of fun and the kids were super excited to get to stay up until midnight!

Bombs!

The kids got a new game from Santa and they love setting up the wires that they have to go through to stop the bomb from detonating...

Water Park

Josh and I like our gift to the kids for Christmas to be something that we all go and do together instead of more stuff that piles up at our house. This year we let the kids vote on what they wanted to do and gave them three options to choose from. 2 votes to 1 vote to 1 vote meant that we went and spent a night at a hotel that had an indoor waterpark. The kids had a blast and it was a fun reprieve from the cold, snowy weather!

Life is Great!

While Christmas break means a lot of celebrating, running and playing, there is still a lot of time to relax and cuddle on the couch. The kids definitely found time to do just that! I love when they are being nice to each other... :) Brody and Braxton.

Snow Plow

Brody decided during Christmas break that he wanted to shovel sidewalks and driveways for the neighbors. Of course he couldn't do it on his on so he enlisted the help of his cousin. Well, all the neighbors already had theirs done, so he and Elyse headed out to plow our driveway... Thankfully Josh was on duty to supervise this attempt!
