Our annual kick off to summer was at Ronnie and Chris's house on Memorial Day as usual. Lots of good food, WAY TOO much sun, bean bags and family! It is a great way to spend the day. We also took the opportunity to celebrate Beau and Brody's birthdays with the family as well, so they had some extra excitement!

Last Day of School - 2018
It's hard to believe that we have an 8th grader, 6th grader, 4th grader and 2nd grader now! Where does time go? I'm sure I'll post about if I made it through summer or not...
Beau - Track Meet
Beau decided that he wanted to try track this spring. He had a couple of meets, one of which I had to miss due to Bella's VB playdate (but Josh was able to get to instead), but I did get to go to his last one. He threw discus, tried hurdles for the first time, ran the 100 meter dash and tried the long jump for the first time as well. Track is a lot of waiting around, but he had a lot of fun trying out the different events and might possibly try it again next year - track, baseball? Which one will win out for him??
Sideways Stories from Wayside School
3rd grade tradition in Mrs. Lillquist's class is for the class to act out a few chapters from a book that she reads to them each year. Bella got to play the voice of "pigtails" that were pulled and also the teacher. She loves acting and a did a great job doing the play! She even got to have a scene with her "boyfriend", Kolton... :) She was very excited about that!
Bella's VB Playdate
Bella got the opportunity to try out volleyball this spring and she had a lot of fun with it. They had a few weeks of practice and ended their "season" with a playdate with a variety of teams. They got to play 3 different teams for about 30 minutes at a time. It was fun to watch Bella play a sport that I love so much... I hope that she continues with it!

Piano Recital
I missed pictures of Bella as Brody and I were flying in late from his baseball game, but they both did a great job at their piano recital. I love watching them do all the different activities that they try!
Braxton's Baptism
It's been a long time coming, but we had Braxton baptized this April at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. It was an interesting perspective having him a little bit older instead of a baby when he was baptized, but it was sure a special moment in his life and our lives! My dad, brother-in-law and nieces and nephews were able to sing Borning Cry, which is one of my favorite songs and had me in tears while they did it... As always, our family kills a couple of birds with one stone and we were able to celebrate my cousin's sons confirmation at the same time. Congratulations Braxton and Mason!
