Easter Egg Hunt

SCAB had our annual Easter Egg Hunt this year and the weather was fabulous! No fighting the mud or snow and the rain held off until right at the end! It was a great morning for the kids and our SCAB group!!

Easter Bunny

Beau's preschool class had a night with the Easter Bunny last week and the kids had a blast! They got to see the Easter Bunny, plant a seed, have a snack and do a craft... What a great night for them!

My outside boy...

Braxton LOVES to be outside with his brothers and sisters... I can have a fussy crying baby inside and the second that I step outside and set him down he is the happiest boy on the earth! It's a fun transformation when we are outside but not so fun when I have to be inside and he's not quite old enough to stay out there on his own...

crazy life!

There is a lot of moments that I ask myself "why am I doing this?" Staying at home with my kids, while rewarding, is challenging especially when you have a 1 year old that spends the day crying, crawling after you and nothing seems to help. Is it his ears (yet again), is it those teeth that are coming in, is it the switch from formula to milk - it's so hard to know sometimes... Just as I was thinking "why am I doing this? a friend of mine posted this link on her facebook page.

While my day has still been rough, it made me stop and think... THIS is why I am doing this...

Instead of sending him off to be with someone else, I am able to hold him, comfort him, FINALLY get him to fall asleep... and for those 10 minutes that I am able to give him my attention before I start chasing after the rest of the kids again, it's all about me and him. While some days are tough and I wish for that adult interaction that I used to have a lot of when I was teaching, I can never get these moments back and I am so blessed that I am able to be here with my kids to have them, so thankful that Josh has the work he does so that I can stay home and I just had to share that with you this time.

Look Who's Cooking...

Braxton has figured out which cabinets that he can get into and which ones he can't and he takes definite advantage of it... I was a second too late with grabbing the camera but he was actually sitting in the pot completely when I turned around! :)

New Clothesline!

I have been asking for a clothesline for I don't know how long... Kind of a silly, old fashioned thing to want, but I knew that I would love one! :) Well, in the middle of our other 8 million projects, Josh finally decided he had heard enough of my whining and hooked me up!! I'm so excited...

Sidewalk Chalk Paint

My new obsession is pinterest!! I love all the fun recipes and ideas that I have been finding on there... I have set a limit on my pinterst time though - only during naps or bedtime and only one time through the pinners I follow and one time through the popular. I could be on there forever otherwise! :) It is amazing how much you can do with a lot of the things that are right in your own home!! Anyhow, a little tangent there. :) Here is the kids working on one of the fun projects that I found on there - homemade sidewalk chalk... I got to stock up on the cornstarch now, they keep asking for more! :)
