Day 4 meant that we headed out and about again to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Another emotional moment while we got our first glimpse of Lady Liberty up close and personal. You spend so much time learning about her and hear all the stories of the people that came through Ellis Island. It was amazing to know that we were standing in the same place that so many people came through, looking to the United States as a place of hope...
When we got back from Ellis Island, we were right next to the water taxi stand, so we hopped on and did the entire tour. Probably not the proper use of a "taxi", but it was nice to get off of our feet, listen to the tour guide tell us different stories of the places that we were going by and getting to see different parts of New York from a new perspective!
We also had to take a few pictures for the kids of where the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live... :)
