Sibling Fun!

It doesn't always last long or happen very often, but my kids really play well together at times! The other day Brody asked if he could use some of my cups to play with and stack... We have tons of plastic kids cups, so of course that was an easy yes! One of the games that he came up with was bowling and they all wanted in on the action... They actually took turns, all helped restack the "pins" and had fun together for awhile. It is fun to see their creative sides engaged once in a while! :)

The highs and lows...

We headed to another wrestling tournament on Saturday and didn't fair as well as we have been... Brody got pinned by the first guy, lost his second match and won his last match. He ended up placing 3rd, which we are okay with, as long as he tried his best. He had a rough go during his 2nd match and ended up crying throughout the whole match. He didn't stop wrestling, but he cried THE ENTIRE TIME!!! Talk about heart breaking for me to have to watch. The worst part, other then the fact that I couldn't do anything about it, was that when it was over, he couldn't tell me why he was crying until hours afterwards... Ahh, the joys of individual sports - at least when you play team sports the team goes down together... I hated it, but afterwards when Josh was asking if he had fun, he continued to tell us yes. So, the wrestling saga will continue on! :)

Kiser Family Vacation

Every year we get money from my grandma for our family for Christmas... We pooled our money from the past two years and went on an overnighter to a water park! It was such a great time and the kids had a blast, especially when the snow started falling outside and we were playing in the water inside!! I couldn't keep Bella away from the water slides and she cruised around on her own most of the time. Everyone had a great time and with 15 kids 8 and under and 12 adults it went surprisingly smooth! :) My problem, as usual, was remembering to pick up the camera in the middle of all the fun and snap some pictures! :)

Bella's 2nd Birthday!

With so many nieces and nephews, birthday parties have a tendency to pile up on our family! So, to make it a little easier on ourselves and our family, we decided to group them together and have one big party! Today we celebrated Bella's 2nd birthday, which is on the 15th, Parker's 3rd, which was on the 9th and Megan's 11th, which was on the 7th! We had a lot of fun, too much food and lots of noise and laughs!

Snowman Making!

The group that I am a part of is having a snowman making contest that ends tomorrow! So, we took the kids out today to work on our creation... No sense in doing it early! :) The boys wanted to do a "superman" snowman, so we got to work! I think that it turned out pretty dang good and the boys loved working on it - especially spraying it with the colored water!

Potty Training?

So, Bella is really intersted (sometimes) in going potty on the potty. Usually she ends up telling me before she has to go and then sits for 2 seconds, gets off and goes in her diaper or tells me after... But hey, she's showing more interest then her brothers ever did at this point! :) So, to try and get her to sit a little longer in the hopes of her actually going on the potty, Josh handed her something to read!

Discipline at the Connor House...

So, the biggest insult around our house lately has been "so and so wears a diaper". At first it was humorous, but after about 2 times it got annoying... Especially when the other person starts bawling because they are so upset about it! Drama, drama!! So, when Beau started yelling it again the other night, Josh took care of business... Not that it will probably help since everyone was giggling like crazy after this and then Bella kept saying "on, on" until he put the diaper on her head! Oh the life of the Connor's! :)

Bella and I headed to St. Cloud today for her 2 year pictures and I left Josh at home with yet another sick kid... With Brody running a temp I figured there wouldn't be too much running, so I left him in charge of helping the boys make their valentine's boxes for this year! They had both already picked out their designs that they wanted, so I pulled out all the supplies and said have at it! They did a fantastic job and dad even remembered to get pictures!! YAY!

Preschool Sledding Day!

Beau's preschool class had a sledding day at our local hill and I didn't have daycare that afternoon so I was able to take him and his cousin Ellie over for it! We all had a great time, even if I was huffing and puffing up the hill! Thank goodness mom took Bella during that time or I would have really had a work out getting her up and down too! :)

The kids sat down all together the other night and were watching tv. I couldn't believe that it didn't lead to any fights and they had organized themselves, so I had to get a quick picture! :)
