Hairless Wonders!

I finally got unlazy and cut Braxton's hair on Sunday morning. While I loved the curls that at least one of my kids got, I was not so excited about the bedhead that was an every day occurance! :)

Then, the boys came home from cub scout winter camp and I was going to put the clippers away when I said to Brody "unless you want your hair cut also?" He said, "sure" and jumped into the chair. After I picked my jaw up off the floor and asked him about 40 times if he was sure, I started cutting... Although I wasn't completely sold on the long hair, it was really sad for me to cut it all off... I mean, seriously??? Look at the pile of beautiful, natural highlighted hair that I cut off!! It was wild!!

Of course we had to take some in the middle hair cut pictures which prompted complete embarrassment and the question "you aren't going to put this on facebook are you?" So, I guess I won't put it on facebook, but I will pop it on the blog! :)

And then we had Beau - who I would prefer to cut his hair all the time since it is so thick and just kind of sticks out like a q-tip all the time. He didn't want to cut his hair at all, so I let it be... Then on Monday morning at 7:30, (keeping in mind that the bus comes at 8:00) he decided that he wanted his hair cut. Well, I wasn't going to pass up that opportunity since I knew that as soon as he got home from school he would have changed his mind yet again, so we busted out this bad boy hair cut in about 10-15 minutes... Whew!

Basketball in Verndale

This last Saturday Brody and the 3rd and 4th graders had their last tournament of the year... It was fun to see how much they have improved over the season and just brings me so much excitement for next year. Brody is loving basketball and when asked this year if he is going to do both wrestling and basketball again next year he tells us that he only wants to do basketball. He still has a few years before he has to make the final decision of choosing one over the other, so we will see what next year brings!

Grandpa Stacy

Josh's dad came to visit us for the past weekend and we ran him hard! Roller skating Friday night, children's museum and Chuck E. Cheese on Saturday, Lego movie on Sunday and lots of games and play time in between... We all had a great time and loved having him here!

That's my husband!!

I may not be proud of it, but I will gladly admit that Josh is a much better sewer then I am... Hey, it takes the heat off of me when something needs to be sewn - "take it to dad" is a common phrase around here! :) Love that he got his mama's sewing genes!

Grandpa Time!

After a hard day of running on Saturday we took Sunday to just kick back, relax and of course play games!

Chuck E. Cheese

Bella has been talking about nothing else but going to Chuck E. Cheese for her birthday for forever!! Not sure why, since we have only been there once before in our lives, but since Josh's dad was flying in for a long weekend visit we thought that this would be something fun that we could do for the day - nice that her birthday ended up on a Saturday! :) So, off we went to join the chaos that is Chuck E. Cheese... Guess it was worth it when she said "best birthday EVER, mommy!"

Yunker's Childrens Museum

We headed over to Fargo/Moorhead area for Bella's birthday on Saturday. I love taking the kids to the children's museum there, so as long as we were heading that direction, I thought that I would make Josh and his dad spend a couple of hours there with us. It is definitely more fun to go during the summer months when they have all the outside stuff running too, but the inside is a lot of fun also and the kids had a blast running around for a few hours checking everything out... Beau even got some A.R. reading in!! :)
