Sledding Fun

I love Christmas break! Not only do I get to finish up projects around my house that need to be done, I get to spend a lot of time with just me and the kids!! We have gone sledding a few times and this time I actually brought my camera... They have so much fun and ALL of them go down on their own.

Beau wanted me to go with him on his sled down the hill, but wanted to hit the jump at the bottom. I told him that I didn't think that the baby would like that and we picked a different way to go. As we ended the other direction almost going over the snowbank Beau says "mommy we almost went over the snowbank!" "yep we did, Beau." "we almost landed on our heads." "yep." "that would not have been good for the baby." "nope." "that not be awesome, mommy!" He cracks me up!!

And yes... I did notice that Bella did have her tongue out in pretty much every picture that I took! :) Good think she didn't go near any metal poles!!

This post is 'specially for auntie Danielle... Bella got a new scarf from her cousin Landon for Christmas and her auntie Danielle made it for her. As soon as she opened it she put it on and ran around the house. She is definitely our diva in this family! :)

So, I got at least one picture of the three of them dressed up and looking snazzy together after church. They don't look happy, but they are together! :)

Christmases!

We survived another year of Christmas! It was so much fun to see how excited the kids were through the whole process... From decorating the house and tree, to going to all their programs, getting ready for Santa to come and even their presents, they loved every moment of it! Brody even got Santa's cookie plate ready by himself this year and Beau got to put out the carrots for the reindeer! It was a magical time and I love having the kids around to share it all with...

Christmas Programs

We had a few days of chaos with the boys Christmas programs all piling up on us! It was a lot of fun and they both did a great job! Beau's program was a night program with all 3 of the preschool classes joining together. He was happy to run up there and stand next to his cousin Ellie and sing all his songs! He was very animated and almost hit Ellie with his actions quite a few times...

Brody had his program in the afternoon on Friday and also did a marvelous job! His music teacher had put his program songs online and he was quick to learn how to get online and find his songs EVERY day!! Needless to say we were all walking around singing his songs! :)

We then went on to their Sunday School program on Sunday morning where Beau was an angel (ha, ha! :) and Brody was a wiseman. Beau had a slight meltdown pre-performance, but we got him back on track and he did an awesome job once they got up there!

The other day, Bella was doing some crazy moves, looking like she was actually trying to do a somersault... She looked adorable so of course I had to grab the camera. Then my niece and nephew had to get in on the act - they love the camera also! What a bunch of cuties!!

Pre Holiday Fun!!

The kids and I are on our own for a while... Josh has been in Canada for the past week and didn't make it home this weekend like planned. He may be there until Christmas, but we are not sure yet. So, that meant me and 3 kids to get into the holiday spirit! :) We were up and at em this morning, got our grocery shopping out of the way and then the fun began!! We went and saw Santa - Bella was not excited at all!! Then we went and picked out our tree, got it home and decked the halls! It was a fun and wonderful day, even if daddy wasn't here to share it with us... Miss you babe, especially when it came to stringing the lights! :)

Water Park Fun!

Josh's dad and stepmom were in town for a few days last week and we had so much fun visiting with them! While we were at Brody's kindergarten conference, they took the kids out to supper and bowling and then on Friday we all headed to the water park in Brainerd. It was a lot of fun and the kids were definitely tuckered out after a day of splashing around and riding in the slides!

Early Christmas Present!

For the kids Christmas present they got a jungle gym from Josh's dad and stepmom! They were a little impatient and wanted to play on it, so we finally got it set up and they were out on it immediately!!

Ooey Gooey Night!

ECFE had it's annual ooey gooey night and of course my kids had to be involved!! I just love that they do it and I don't have to clean up the mess! :) From making their own pudding, to playing in flour and oobleck they had a wonderful time!

Hunting season is here and Brody couldn't be more excited! Josh's rule, via my brother in law, is that they can't hunt until they turn 5. So, this year was the year that Brody got to go with... With his talking they didn't see anything, but he sure had fun!

Halloween Madness!

This weekend has been full of Halloween fun! We started on Saturday morning by the kids and Josh coming to the Halloween party that a group I am on puts on every year... There are games, crafts, prizes and candy for all the kids in town and they have a lot of fun! Then tonight we had meatball monsters and mashed potatoes snakes for supper and headed out to go trick or treating! They hauled in the loot and we didn't even go to any extra houses this year - pretty much friends and family! By the end they were both wound up from all the candy consumed in the car going from house to house and dead tired from the excitement... We had time for ONE LAST piece of candy and baths and they all dropped off to bed! What a great weekend!

1st Snow!

So last night was a little crazy around our town! The winds were whipping all day yesterday, they say up to 60 miles an hour... We lost power for a little bit in the afternoon, but the kids and I still made it to ECFE! As we walked out, we were greeted with the first snowfall of the year, whipping straight into our faces, along with slush galore!! Throughout the night we lost power from about 1:30-5:00 in the morning, which made for a fun night of the kids each waking up bawling that it was too dark in their rooms! Luckily a little calming down was all it took and they were all back to bed until morning... Which led to the kids all begging immediately as soon as they got up to go outside and play in the snow! Hence the darker sky in the pictures - they were dressed, fed and outside by about 7:30 today!!
