Poor Baby!!

Bella is definitely getting to the age where she knows when she is being left behind... The boys went with Josh to help load wood and she couldn't go with, so here she is by the door with her shoes, ready to go with... My poor baby!

All together now!

With Brody "transitioning" into Kindergarten (going every other day for the first couple of weeks), today was the first day that both he and Beau got to go to school together... You know I had to take some pictures of that momentous occasion! :)

The gang! Which leaves me with only 5 to watch in the mornings... talk about a cake walk! :)

Beau's 1st Day of School!

Once again I had wonderful luck with sending my kids off to school! Beau was so excited that he practically pushed me out the door and ran into the classroom! I can't believe how excited both he and Brody have been... I didn't let him ride the bus today since I wanted to bring him in, but he will get to experience that on Thursday morning! He did have his backpack on from 7:30 on though, waiting patiently for my mom to get to our house to watch the other daycare kids! It was a great morning for him...
Beau's first day of school - he actually asked if I was going to take a picture by the door like I did with Brody... :)

Beau's turn...

Beau has finally hit the stage where he gets to go to school too! He is potty trained (at least during the day) and is so excited to be able to go to school with Brody... We had his open house on Thursday night, so we got to go and see his classroom and meet his teacher. His teacher was Brody's teacher 2 years ago, the mom of one of his babysitters and a friend of ours, so I didn't think that he would be too worried. He had also gone to ECFE (early childhood family education) just on Tuesday night with Josh in the same classroom, so he was quite comfortable... He ran into the room and started digging out things to do and we had to carry him out when it was time to go! So, Tuesday is the big day and he can't wait!

Story time...

No pictures to post today, but had to share a couple of cute stories about the kids...

Yesterday morning was an early one for Bella. I heard her wake up and start to cry at 5:30 in the morning... It takes me a little while to process that early in the morning, so she ended up crying for a few minutes before I was able to get myself moving. Then, when I did get up, she stopped... Okay, that works, guess I will just lay back down for a half an hour before my alarm clock goes off. At 6:09 (thanks to the snooze button) I headed downstairs to take a shower. My first stop is usually the boys' room so that I can shut the door so they don't hear me. I looked in and saw a weird shape on the floor by Brody's bed... What could it be? Well, Miss Bella of course! She must have wandered her way into their room and fell asleep next to their beds... By the time I grabbed my camera to take the picture, she popped up and yelled "mama" and came running to me. It was so adorable though!

This morning, Brody was a late sleeper and by the time that he got done eating breakfast, all the kids were downstairs playing and I was down there getting Bella and Beau dressed. He walks down the stairs and plops down in front of me and says "mommy, can you rub my feet, they are nizzling right now". Nizzling? Now that is a new word that I just love!! No tingling for Brody, nizzling is how his sleeping feet feel!

Did I mention how much I love my kids and the things that they come up with? They make me smile constantly!! Well, maybe not constantly, but enough that they make having kids worthwhile... :)

Brody's 1st Day of Kindergarten...

Brody started school today - a big kindergartner... He was very excited and when I told him that I wanted him to dress nicely for the first day he told me "okay mom, but I don't want my teacher to kiss all over me..." So, he picked out all his clothes and laid them out last night before bed. He was very excited to wear his "church shoes" from Mason, since I told him that they were not for play!! He looked so handsome walking up the stairs this morning... I can't believe that my baby is old enough to dress himself, let alone go to kindergarten!! Josh said that he barely stopped for the pictures I wanted, he was so busy running into his classroom, guess he is as excited as his mommy and daddy!

Elyse and Brody - ready for their first day of kindergarten...

Coming into school off of the bus - I made Josh race him there so that Brody could still ride the bus, but we could still get pictures! :)

Auntie Ronnie is a para this year and she took over our aunt Sharon's job as greeter in the mornings... The kids will get to see her every morning as they walk through the doors!

Meet the Teacher!!

Brody is getting ready to start Kindergarten and we went to meet his teacher and spend some time in his classroom last night. He was a little shy meeting her, but that will probably be the only time that happens! He was already talking her ear off when we walked back out the door...

Cleaning crazy...

Brody got a radio for his birthday this year and he loves it!! He carries it from room to room and Kidz Bop 17 is never far from our minds! :) (Thanks to the Heino's for that one!) I walked in the living room yesterday and here is Brody cleaning his cd player with the utmost care.... After I snapped this picture I found a note taped to the top that said BRODY - just so everyone knows whose radio it it! He is too funny!

My pretty princess!

Bella constantly amuses us with how disgusting she can get in a matter of minutes! She is not the cleanest girl on the block, but we love her lots!! Laura and I were cleaning up from supper after I had them over the other night and when we turned around, Bella had all but dove into the butter dish!! She had it everywhere, clumps in her hands and a mouthful of butter oozing out her lips... On top of that, yep - there is a little bit of peach crisp on her forehead and cheeks! That's my girl!
