School Picture Day

Today was school picture day - finally a day that I can get ALL of my kids to look pretty snazzy and in something more than sweats and a t-shirt!

Brody - Jr. High FB

From fall ball baseball on Sundays to football on Tuesday evenings, this kid likes to stay active. He is playing full back this year, which makes this mama happy because I get to see him with the ball a little bit more!  He loves to play and has told his coach to put him wherever he needs him, which means he shifts around a lot.

CLC Fall Ball

Brody decided that he wanted to try the fall ball league that his cousin Kolby did last year in Brainerd. 4 Sundays of double headers, playing baseball. The first week he got to do a couple innings of catching, spent some time in left field and got to pitch a bit. He really enjoyed his time and is excited to go back again next week.

Labor Day Camping

My goal was to get a lot of pictures this weekend, but of course, it's just too easy to settle in and enjoy the time...  I love our Labor Day camping weekends at Dower Lake.  Our crew has risen to 7 families - 39 OF US!!  We started a new tradition of a "kids fire" this year because there were so many of us that we couldn't fit around the fire very easily... It is crazy, fun and we make some great memories with the Kisers, Nesses, Lees, Hamans, Ahrendts and Ferrises!  Dower is stepping up their game and had a treasure hunt this year for the kids AND the adults and a movie night with Root Beef Floats on Saturday night. It was great!

2018/2019 School Year

I think that I say it every year, but man, the summer just flew by!  Of course this year is a little bit crazier, because our kids started school a week early. With construction on the school, they are getting out 2 weeks early at the end of the year, so they have to make a bit of it up at the beginning.  It is hard to believe that we have an 8th, 6th, 4th and 2nd grader in our house! They are getting so amazingly big!  I can't wait to see what this year brings for them...

Beau's Friend Party

FINALLY!!  Beau spent the whole summer waiting to have his friend party...  He wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese with his friend Larissa and I thought that would be a good week night, meet Josh after work event.  Well, with all the ball and other events that went on this summer, our schedule just didn't allow it. So, finally, 3 months after his birthday we made it happen!  Everyone had a lot of fun and went home with their trinkets...  most of which were broken by the time we got home to Sebeka! :)

Headed Home

It is amazing, when you spend so much time with the same people, you think that the kids are going to get snippy with each other, crabby with everyone and just want to be away from each other by the end of the trip... That really didn't happen...  Sure they had their moments, usually they were more overtired then anything and just needed to be on their own for a bit, but overall, they did awesome!  They played well together, usually hopped into pictures easily without having to be threatened and generally just got along.  It was such a fun time...

This was our last stop on our way home. Parking lot party in Cromwell MN for supper!

Camping Adventures - Lake Time

Looking at these pictures I realize that we spent a LOT of time at a few of the great lakes! :)  The kids had a lot of fun playing on the beach and this section had a lot of clay type soil which made for some great "tattoos". Reg was pretty amazing and might have a second career as a tattoo artist! :)
