Sleeping with the sharks!

For Boy Scouts each year we do a big fundraiser of selling hanging baskets. The money that the kids raise goes to an excursion, usually to the water park in Brainerd. This year we mixed it up a bit and headed to the cities and the Mall of America to "sleep with the sharks" at Underwater Adventures. Brody and I hooked up with his friend Dylan and Dylan's mom Tina and headed down on Friday afternoon. We met up with Brody's cousins Gavin and Eion and his uncle Quentin and Auntie Laura. There were a huge group of our scouts that also met there, but the ones I mentioned are the ones that are in the pictures! The boys (and us parents) had a great time checking out the aquarium and got to go behind the scenes. Bedtime was about 11:00 and we got the most comfortable sleep mats (remember the ones we used at "rest" time in kindergarten? yeah, that's what they were...) and spread out throughout the tunnel. While the sleeping on hard floor wasn't my favorite part of the night, it was SUPER cool to wake up periodically through the night to see sting rays playing above my head or a shark floating by. Definitely worth the sore back that I had the next day! :)
